REGULATORY SERVICES

Gemini’s strong relationships with regulatory bodies throughout Western Canada allow for timely approvals to support our clients’ overall project goals. Our regulatory team operates out of our head office in Calgary. Services provided include:

 

Provincial and Municipal Permitting

 

Permitting for oil and gas projects (facility, well and pipeline) on both a provincial and municipal level in Alberta, British Columbia and Saskatchewan.

Industrial Approvals, including EPEA Approvals

 

Our team can complete any necessary Industrial and Environmental Protection and Enhancement Act (EPEA) applications and, if requested, additional notification requirements, in line with AER regulations.

National Energy Board (NEB) Permitting

 

Section 52 and 58 Approvals, as well as Environmental Assessment Coordination with the Canadian Environmental Assessment Agency (CEAA).

Utilities Permitting

 

Rule 007 Applications with the Alberta Utilities Commission (AUC).

Regulatory Process Management

 

Through the use of project-specific regulatory roadmaps, our team can plan and track progression through the regulatory lifecycle of your project. Our project management experience, combined with extensive regulatory knowledge, provides the ideal skill set to ensure timely and budget-conscious completion of each task.

Notifications of Construction and Pressure Tests

 

Our team can complete and file all notifications of construction and pressure testing.

Open House Facilitation and Coordination

 

We have experience in coordinating, preparing material for and actively facilitating open house sessions.

National Pollution Release Inventory (NPRI) Reporting

 

Our team can gather the necessary information, calculate releases and compile the final report for submission to Environment Canada.

Canadian Association of Petroleum Producers (CAPP) Reporting

 

Guidance through the CAPP Stewardship reporting process to ensure timely and accurate submission.

Dehydrator Engineering Operations Sheet (DEOS) & Benzene Reporting

 

Arrangement for the testing, creating, or updating of DEOS’s and submit annual benzene reports on behalf of our clients for each operating dehydrator in Alberta.

Fugitive Emissions Program Manual Development and Management

 

Creation and maintenance of a fugitive emissions program manual, conduct training of operators, arrange for testing and coordinate the tracking and repair of all detected fugitive emissions in accordance with AER Directive 60.
