Mr. Kevin Beingessner is President & CEO and Director of Coril Holdings Ltd. He is responsible for leading and directing Coril’s business initiatives, including subsidiary companies that operate in Canada, the United States and globally. Over the past 30 years, Mr. Beingessner has held senior management positions at Manalta Coal Ltd., Titian Investments, Balboa Hotels Ltd. and Balboa Land Investments Inc. Mr. Beingessner holds a Bachelor of Science Degree and a Masters Degree from the University of Calgary. He is a graduate of the Banff School of Advanced Management and is a Certified Corporate Director. He was appointed a Director of Gemini Corporation in 2012.
Susannah Pierce is the General Manager of LNG Canada – a joint venture between Shell, Mitsubishi, CNPC and Kogas – where she is responsible for integrating risk management for the LNG Canada project. Prior to LNG, Susannah served as Vice President, Value Chain Integration at Shell Canada. She has global experience in a senior capacity with a number of major organizations, which has provided her with a wealth of insight and experience within the international energy industry. Susannah was appointed a Director of Gemini Corporation in October 2013.
Peter Sametz was appointed as the President and CEO of Gemini Corporation on March 12, 2016. He was formerly the co-founder of Alberta Steam and Power Corp, a private company focused on the provision of steam and power to the oil and gas industry. He has over 35 years of experience as an executive in the Alberta energy industry, including practical industry expertise in the exploitation, production and marketing of bitumen, light oil, and natural gas. Mr. Sametz has a Bachelor of Engineering degree from Carleton University and is a Professional Engineer. He was appointed a director of Gemini Corporation in 2013.
John Taylor is Senior Vice President, Business Development and Integration at Coril Holdings Ltd., where he works closely with the operating companies on mergers and acquisitions and post-acquisition integration. Mr. Taylor has over 30 years of engineering, project management and business development experience with public and private companies. His previous appointments at Manalta Coal Ltd. and AltaGas Ltd. provided insight into the energy sector. He holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering from Queen’s University and is a graduate of the University of Western Ontario Executive Program. He was appointed a Director of Gemini Corporation in 2012.
Mike Lambert is a retired Executive with extensive experience in leading the finance functions of large public companies. He possesses a broad exposure to operations and strategy, and a focus on increasing organizational efficiency. Mike has held senior finance positions in public companies that include Black Diamond Group, Parkland Fuel Corporation, the Forzani Group, and Canadian Pacific Railway Company. In addition Mike was a member of the Board of Directors and Chairman of the Compensation Committee of Yellow Media (formerly Yellow Pages Income Fund) and was formerly a member of the Board of Directors and Chairman of the Audit Committee of Premium Brands Inc. He was appointed a Director of Gemini Corporation in 2016.
John McVey is the CEO of Procon Group of Companies. Mr. McVey’s distinguished career in engineering, construction, procurement and project management spans over 35 years in the energy, mining and power industries in Canada as well as internationally. He has held executive and senior management positions in corporate and project operations, business development, and strategic planning. Having held senior roles with Bantrel, Bechtel, SNC Lavalin Group and Kilborn Engineering, he has developed a strong background in leadership and mentoring. Mr McVey has also been very active in the community activities including United Way. He was appointed a Director of Gemini Corporation in 2016.
Gordon Ritchie retired from the position of Vice Chairman at RBC Capital Markets in 2016 where he had worked for over 30 years. From 2001 through 2005, he served as Managing Director and Head of RBC’s Global E&P Energy Group. Through previous appointments at RBC Capital Markets he gained extensive experience in investment banking in Europe, the United States and Canada. Mr. Ritchie holds an MBA from the University of Western Ontario and a Bachelor of Economics from the University of Alberta. He also maintains securities industry regulatory designations in Canada, the U.K. and the U.S. and served for two years as a member of the New York area Advisory Committee to the New York Stock Exchange Board of Directors. He was appointed a Director of Gemini Corporation in 2012.
